Instructions:

  1. Cut blue cardstock to 5.5” x 8.5”.  Score down the middle with bone folder and fold in half to make a 5.5” x 4.25” card.
  2. Distress the edges of the card front with Sanding Grip.
  3. Using the Vagabond Machine, cut mini butterfly out of the top right corner. Set card aside.
  4. Cut flowers from pink and yellow cardstock with the Tattered Flower Decorative Strip die.  Before removing flowers, sand strip.
  5. Cut grass from green cardstock and Tapered Fringe die.  Gently sand before separating the pieces.
  6. Spread a thin layer of Waterfall Stickles on the butterfly cutout, outline with Black Sparkle Stickles and set aside to dry.
  7. Paint foliage and brads with Distress Paints. Set aside to dry
  8. Make butterfly body out of black wire and attach to card as shown with rolled up pieces of 1/8” Wonder Tape.
  9. Glue two layers of grass down along the bottom 1-1/2” of the card with Multi-Medium.  Let dry and trim off excess.
  10. Make flower stems by cutting a 6” piece of paper string, tie a bow in the middle to create the leaves and extend the loose ends in opposite directions to make the stem.  Trim ends to desired length.
  11. Glue stems down with Multi-Medium.
  12. Glue on one more layer of grass to cover the stems with Multi-Medium and trim when dry.
  13. Put together paper and metal flowers with brads as shown.
  14. Glue flowers down with rolled up pieces of Wonder Tape.
  15. Stamp “Happy Birthday” on a piece of yellow cardstock with Picked Raspberry paint.  Be sure to clean stamp immediately after using.  Speed dry with Heat it Tool and cut out in a banner shape.  Attach to card with Pop it Shapes.
