Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 – February

For Tim’s February Tag I was inspired to make this fun Valentine for my husband.

Supplies:

Ranger Industries:

  • Tim Holtz Distress Stains-Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean
  • Tim Holtz Distress Markers- Mustard Seed, Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey,Dusty Concord, Pine Needles, Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters
  • Tim Holtz Water Brush
  • Archival Ink-Jet Black
  • #8 Manila Tag
  • Gloss Paper-Matte Side
  • Collage Glue Stick
  • Pop it Shapes
  • Stickles Glitter Glue-Aqua
  • Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Medium-Matte
  • Dylusions Ocean Backgrounds and Under the Sea Stamp Sets

Tim Holtz idea-logy- Tinsel Twine

Other:

  • Wiggle Eyes
  • Scissors
  • Computer

Instructions:

  1. Use Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean with Tim’s technique to make the background on a #8 Manila Tag.
  2. Stamp three fish, crab and two seaweed images using Jet Black Archival Ink on the matte side of Gloss Paper. Color images using Distress Markers and cut out with scissors.
  3. Stamp the bubbles with Jet Black Archival randomly onto the colored tag.
  4. Glue wiggle eyes to the fish and crab with Multi-Medium.
  5. Type the saying on your computer, print on the matte side of Gloss Paper and cut out.
  6. Glue the pieces as shown using the Collage Glue stick and Pop it Shapes.
  7. Add Tinsel Twine to the top.
  8. Apply Aqua Stickles to the seaweed.
