Ranger Designer Challenge 2012

I was so excited to be a part of the Ranger Designer Challenge again this year!  The assignment was to embellish a paper mache dress form with Stickles, Ice Stickles Liquid Pearls and Inkssentials Accents.    I really had fun with this challenge and love how my dress form turned out!  Visit Ranger’s Blog every day this week to see the entries of the 24 other designers that were asked to participate.

Here is how I made my  Fairy Princess.  First, I painted the dress form with a mixture of Opal and Bisque Liquid Pearls.   I made the dress by using a Barbie Doll pattern.  Then I made the wings  by Crazy Gluing some fabric covered wire  onto irridescent cellophane for the wing veins.  Applied a thick layer of Claudine Hellmuth Gloss Multi-Medium to form the rest of  the wing shape. I let it dry and then cut out the wing shapes. Next, I painted the wings with various colors of Liquid Pearls. I used Grape Ice to outline the petals on the dress skirt.  And the belt was made by placing drops of Liquid Pearls onto some cording and letting it dry.

  1. I saw your dress form on the Ranger blog. It is so pretty. Your pictures are so tiny here, they do not do it justice. Thanks for the details on how you made your fairy princess!
