Advent Calendar

Can you believe it’s December already.  Christmas will be here before you know it.  To celebrate the season, it is a tradition in our family for each of the kids to have an Advent calendar.  I love to shop for little trinkets and treasures to put in them, and to make a different kind of calendar every year.  This year I had in mind to make a calendar that would fit gifts that were a littler larger.  As my kids get older, it’s hard to find “little” treasures that will still appeal to them.  I saw this pretty cupcake holder at Target and knew the search was over (this will come in handy during the year as well).

I put all the treats in some goodie bags, stamped my dates using a stamp from Fiskars Wishes All Around set and numbers from a Melissa Frances number set with Jenni Bowlin Dabbers in Seed Packet, Stick Candy, Cough Syrup and Chili Powder onto white cardstock and cut them out with a Fiskars Circle Shape Cutter. I placed the bags in cupcake holders at random.  I think it will be fun to hunt for the date.
How do you countdown to Christmas?
